Facilities is accepting applications for a maintenance working foreman (MWF) to oversee and participate in the work of employees engaged in the upkeep, maintenance and repair of buildings and related structures painting, masonry, woodwork and/or maintaining and repairing building utility systems, including heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The MWF must be able to use power and small hand tools, as well as maintain records of work progress, materials, and equipment used, etc. The MWF must be available in emergency after-hour and recall situations as needed and able to work flexible hours; proper notification will be given.

The McKeown School of Education at Salem State University is seeking adjunct professors to supervise pre-practicum and/or practicum teaching candidates remotely. Supervisors are required to meet with students for a pre-observation to discuss their lesson plans, watch videos of the candidate teaching, and provide oral and written feedback to the candidate in post-observation meetings. Supervisors also work with host teachers to support the student-teacher as they develop knowledge and skills across the time in the field, and hold regular, required meetings with the host teacher after each observation. Because most of this work is conducted remotely, the supervisor must use McKeown School’s technology platforms, such as Sibme and Canvas. Training is provided on all technology platforms, observation tools, and forms for licensure documentation. As this work is done remotely, supervisors can hold a full-time teaching job. Bi/multilingual supervisor candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Compensation is based on the number of pre-practicum and/or practicum students supervised in a semester, ideally between 3 and 6 in number.

Maintainers perform routine maintenance and provide custodial services to buildings and grounds, including the repair or beautification of campus grounds or roads, such as cutting grass, weeds or brush; cleaning culverts, gutters, catch-basins, drains or ditches; loading and unloading vehicles; moving and setting up furniture; spreading sand, gravel, loam or asphalt; digging ditches or post-holes; setting or pulling posts; repairing guardrails or fences; patching concrete or asphalt surfaces; maintaining, erecting or repairing signs; cleaning or marking roadways for parking lots; erecting or dismantling snow fences; painting fences, posts, guardrails or building exteriors; and performs other related work as necessary.

Primary duties are patrolling the campus via foot or patrol vehicle, securing, and checking buildings, grounds, and adjacent areas, investigating crimes and other incidents, and enforcing state laws as well as departmental rules and regulations of the institution.
