The Programmer-Analyst I is an entry-level position which will assist in the operation the Service Knowledge Management System (SKMS) infrastructure within the service transition team and participates in the end-to-end development of solutions. Under direct supervision: configures shared content management frameworks, request fulfillment and planning platforms, and integrates packages with enterprise data services; performs many operational functions, including monitoring, alert configuration, and the provisioning of runtime environments; implements, and tests packaged solutions and custom integration code per the specifications of more senior technical staff. Prepares thorough planning and operational documentation while designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining applications and systems.   Please Note: Salem State University and the APA union (this position is a member of this bargaining unit), have come to an agreement on a furlough program for fiscal year 2021. As such, APA and NUP (non-unit professional) employees will take up to four (4) weeks of furlough in FY21. In addition, it is expected that APA and NUP employees will take at least two (2) weeks of furlough, but no more than three (3) weeks, by January 2, 2021. Employees will work directly with their hiring managers to determine the timing of furlough weeks based on operational needs.  Depending on the date of hire, furloughs may be reduced on a pro-rated basis. The Salem State University Sport and Movement Science department seeks applications for a 12 month program assistant for the athletic training program to begin fall semester 2020. The individual will support the athletic training program with the completion of tasks directly associated with daily program operation and compliance with external accreditation. This individual will oversee the general operation of the athletic training program facilities and equipment, and serve as a lab assistant in the athletic training program. The staff assistant will collaborate with the program director, coordinator of clinical education and faculty in maintaining databases and documentation associated with the Commission of Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Salem State University police officers are expected to exercise police powers and perform law enforcement duties including: foot, bicycle, personal transporter and vehicle patrol of Salem State University properties, respond to calls for service, render emergency medical aid, investigate matters and prepare preliminary, supplemental and follow-up investigative reports, issue parking, traffic, civil citations, file criminal complaints and summonses with the court, make custodial arrests, assist in the prosecution of violators of law, operate office equipment and computer systems, provide mutual aid to outside law enforcement agencies, provide crime prevention information, develop partnerships with the community and serve as a proactive resource to a uniquely diverse community, and professionally handle any other duties as assigned. Officers may work as part of a security detail for university special and athletic events including events working with other law enforcement agencies for dignitaries visiting the campus. Officers have the opportunity to participate in a number of assignments such as patrol officer, bicycle officer, residence hall liaison officer, detective, field training officer, use of force instructor, range instructor, officer-in-charge, honor guard and other various assignments. Campus Police Officers should have the ability to work extended hours on varying shifts under a variety of conditions and at times under stressful circumstances.   All Salem State campus police officers attend municipal police academy training and have full police authority on campus and throughout the town of Salem. The department enforces all state laws, including motor vehicle laws, as well as university rules and regulations.   Shift, Days Off and Meal Break: TBD by shift bidding process; subject to change according to departmental needs.
