The McKeown School of Education is seeking a full-time, temporary faculty member to teach introductory foundations of education courses across departments. Our foundations of education courses are designed to provide an in-depth introduction to the field of education and the role that teaching and learning in various contexts plays in the lives of individuals, communities, and the larger society. Students are invited into an inquiry about justice in the field of education and an exploration of core movements enacted for greater justice and equity. The successful candidate will have demonstrated interest and skill working with undergraduate students in the early stages of career exploration and formation of their professional identities as educators. Additionally, the ability to create supportive educational experiences with both in-person and remote instruction is essential. Proficiency in utilizing culturally responsive/sustaining pedagogy is essential.

Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The position is subject to available funding.
