The communications department at Salem State University is seeking a temporary, full-time faculty member for spring semester, beginning in January 2018. The position in multimedia journalism will include undergraduate teaching duties in (1) journalism, including reporting, news writing, featuring writing, print and online interview techniques, and web publication (2) other core communications classes if necessary, including computer production and introduction to communications. Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: investigative journalism, long-form journalism, multimedia storytelling, multi-platform digital journalism, data visualization, and emerging/non-traditional journalistic formats and initiatives.

The School of Social Work at Salem State University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track MSW faculty member who will also teach social work at the undergraduate level beginning Fall 2018. Teaching assignments will depend upon the expertise of the candidate and programmatic needs. Teaching assignments might include courses in practice, human behavior, field education seminars and/or elective opportunities aligned with our specialization in Integrated Health and Behavioral Health Practice.

The successful candidate, for this tenure-track position will have a demonstrated track record of scholarly productivity coupled with evidence of teaching excellence in public middle and/or high schools. This full-time, tenure-track, faculty member will be an active contributor to the multi-department team of faculty who prepare secondary education teachers and will teach courses in the combined bachelor's and master's teacher preparation program and the community education program. The Salem State University Department of Art + Design seeks to fill a full-time, tenure track position in Graphic Design.
