The McKeown School of Education is seeking a full-time, temporary faculty member to teach introductory foundations of education courses across departments. Our foundations of education courses are designed to provide an in-depth introduction to the field of education and the role that teaching and learning in various contexts plays in the lives of individuals, communities, and the larger society. Students are invited into an inquiry about justice in the field of education and an exploration of core movements enacted for greater justice and equity. The successful candidate will have demonstrated interest and skill working with undergraduate students in the early stages of career exploration and formation of their professional identities as educators. Additionally, the ability to create supportive educational experiences with both in-person and remote instruction is essential. The accounting and finance department in the Bertolon School of Business invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the field of finance for academic year 2024-25. This faculty member will teach courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels in finance including topics in financial planning, corporate finance, and investments. In addition to teaching, faculty member will advise students, continue to pursue research, and provide service to the school, university, and beyond.   Depending on student enrollment, trends, and the department needs, in the future academic years, it is possible, but not guaranteed, that the successful candidate may be renewed for up to a total of six (6) consecutive semesters and/or that the line may be recast as “tenure track” to be filled on the basis of a separate search.   Salem State University is committed to excellence in teaching.
