Salem State University is seeking an adjunct professor with interest and experience in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language (TESOL) courses. Teaching assignments will include core graduate courses in language acquisition, language instruction, curriculum and assessment, and culturally sustaining pedagogy. Campus Police Officers support the campus community, while providing exceptional customer service to the students, staff, and faculty in the community. Primary duties are patrolling the campus via foot or patrol vehicle, securing, and checking buildings, grounds, and adjacent areas, investigating crimes and other incidents, and enforcing state laws as well as departmental rules and regulations of the institution. Works in collaboration with the local community and the Salem State University Police Department.    Shift, Days Off and Meal Break: TBD by shift bidding process; subject to change according to departmental needs. The McKeown School of Education at Salem State University is seeking adjunct professors to supervise pre-practicum and/or practicum teaching candidates remotely. Supervisors are required to meet with students for a pre-observation to discuss their lesson plans, watch videos of the candidate teaching, and provide oral and written feedback to the candidate in post-observation meetings. Supervisors also work with host teachers to support the student-teacher as they develop knowledge and skills across the time in the field, and hold regular, required meetings with the host teacher after each observation. Because most of this work is conducted remotely, the supervisor must use McKeown School’s technology platforms, such as Sibme and Canvas. Training is provided on all technology platforms, observation tools, and forms for licensure documentation. As this work is done remotely, supervisors can hold a full-time teaching job. Bi/multilingual supervisor candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.  Compensation is based on the number of pre-practicum and/or practicum students supervised in a semester, ideally between 3 and 6 in number.

Overview Salem State University is seeking SIM lab instructors with interest and experience teaching clinical nursing in the simulation/skills laboratories in the undergraduate nursing program. The RN Lab Instructor for the Nursing Skills Lab will supervise clinical skill acquisition and remediation for nursing majors. This will include demonstration of skills, instruction and evaluation of competencies, and use of simulation equipment to enhance student learning.
