Salem State is seeking a hands on leader to supervise the administration of the student accounts receivables and collections at the university. Responsibilities include managing all student account functions, including student billing, cashiering operations, posting of federal and state financial aid, timely issuance of student refund checks, monitoring and management of delinquent collection balances, ensuring superior customer service to students, faculty and staff and managing third party vendors. The director of student accounts will have a direct connection to and coordinate with the university’s general accounting office to ensure that policies and procedures are consistent and current. The student accounts office is located in the Student Navigation Center (One Stop Shop) and the director will be responsible for ensuring that the student accounting area collaborates with and provides support to the service team.
