The senior software developer analyst provides top level technical expertise in one or more highly specialized areas of applications programming. This position acts independently under general direction and will assist in the troubleshooting the most complex support issues. Extensive experience in information technology, application development, implementation, support and application maintenance are required. This position will require the ability to interpret information gathered from end-users and design and develop effective solutions to meet business needs. The senior software developer analyst will research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle to support the information technology needs of the university. This position requires the ability to conduct project meetings and coordinate project time-lines and resource requirements as necessary. The area of support will be the PeopleSoft ERP Systems with a primary focus on the PeopleSoft Financials System.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline; 7-10 years’ in relevant programming languages supporting an Enterprise Level Application; 7-10 years’ working within an enterprise level database application creating and maintaining table data and writing complex sql statements. Business analysis skills with strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; strong communication skills, both written and oral and a positive attitude toward sharing expertise and assisting others to learn.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with PeopleSoft Financials. Solid understanding of financial business practices. Previous experience with the following PeopleSoft Toolsets: application designer, peoplecode, sqr, SQL, integration broker, application engine, component interface, and work centers. Custom portal design and development in a PeopleSoft Application to enhance the user experience. Experience working with PeopleTools 8.54 or higher. Experience working in a Higher Education environment.
