General Statement of Duties

The occupational therapy department requires the addition of a faculty member to teach in a growing program. Knowledge of accreditation standards, program development, research and grant writing background is indicated. Responsibilities include teaching in a part-time evening, combined BS/MS OTA bridge program, and a part time evening, MS direct-entry program.

Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The position is subject to available funding.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in occupational therapy or bachelor of science in occupational therapy with a master’s degree in occupational therapy or related field; and registration as an occupational therapist with a minimum of five years clinical practice experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications include:

A PhD or OTD in occupational therapy or doctorate in related field (candidates enrolled in doctoral programs will be considered); experience in and commitment to teaching in a multiracial, multi-ethnic environment; and experience with online learning and instructional technologies
