General Statement of Duties

Salem State University is seeking adjunct instructors with interest and experience teaching in areas of social work (i.e. practice, policy, research, field education, human behavioar, elective courses). Teaching will depend upon the expertise of the candidate and needs of the programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Adjunct instructor will work collaboratively with the lead faculty in a school with future-directed leadership and a collective focus on academic excellence and success of our students.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Teaching and/or field liaison experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and collegiality
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching, supervision, and advising
  • Direct experience in social work practice, policy or research

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Appropriate terminal degree
  • College-level teaching experience, at both the undergraduate and/or graduate levels
  • Experience teaching a diverse and multicultural population

  • Adjunct positions are temporary for one semester only, with a possibility for re-hire. All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Adjunct positions are not eligible for H1B Visa sponsorship
